Standard Font Sizes in Business Cards

When you go in for creating your custom business cards the design and material are not the only elements that you should keep in mind, but, in addition to these two factors, you should also consider the font you are going to use for your content on the business card. Your business card is a crucial instrument for your business and to have the right font and at the same time the appropriate size always leaves the desired impact. Your text font size on the business card should be not too small or too big. If it is too small, it would be difficult for your target audience to read the information you want to deliver them. On the other hand, big sized letters just do not appear professional and with availability of limited space, it would be very difficult to stuff all information on the card. There are standards that you have to follow strictly for helping you to create a notable business card.

It is very important to keep a balance in the size of your text in the address and contact information and your name and designation. When designing the text for your business card, always be sure to keep your address and phone numbers between 7 to 8 point sizes for the text matter. Your name should be 1 point larger than these two text matters. That means your name should be in 8 point font size and your designation can either be 1 point smaller than your address text size or similar to it. Your company name should be kept from 12 to 15 point size.

There is a reason for making these sizes standard ones. If you use different sizes for all your texts on the business card then it may look disorderly and untidy and it will only confuse your prospective buyers and clients further. Therefore it is better to keep the font sizes consistent so that your content would not appear disorganized on the business card. Preferably you should go with a font size not smaller than 6 point. You should use 5 point if you want to put everything in capital letters, your name should not use more than 11 point and the address a maximum of 9 point.
